Club History

The PSC has officially been in existence for quite a few year, in name at least. Legend has it that the club faded in and out of existence every few years as students tried to revive it and quickly gave up... that all changed towards the end of spring semester, 2003 when 4 dedicated students came together with a vision to reincarnate the club and to make it last. Since that time our membership has grown from 4 to well over 60 and our range of activities is constantly expanding.

Today we are proud to say that the PSC is here to stay.

Our originally stated mission was: Career Service, Fellowship, and Political Awareness. But in our first year alone (the 2004-2005 school year) the PSC, our little-club-that-could:

*Sponsored a Great Debate
*Hosted a Palestinian Israeli Peace Forum
*Written an alumni newsletter for the PSCI department
*Created a new annual faculty award
*Held successful (and not-so-succesful) fundraisers
*Played intramural soccer, football, basketball AND softball
*Brought in a CIA recruiter to speak with students
*Held social events so that students in the club can get to know one another
*Held elections, expanding our executive board of officers from 4 to 7 positions

Today the club reaches into any and all fields of interest that our members desire.
